Join the world’s best male and female surfers as they battle it out in the 2018 Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast. The Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro are a highly admired sporting event of the Gold Coast, held in the oasis of the beachside town of Coolangatta, making this a popular event to a number of participants from all parts of Australia. This event includes a series of programs and a wide array of entertainment choices catering to the interest of adults and children alike; with a number of top Australian surfers headed to this unique event venue to compete and win the title.
POINT SEA TO SKY Q1 STAIR CHALLENGE
SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge is back again in 2018, this time aiming to raise more than AUD100000 for Rosies Friends on the Street.
Join this year’s influential event ambassadors, Gold Coast Seven News presenter, Amanda Abate and hit 90.9 Sea FM Gold Coast radio presenters Heather, Dan and Ben and other registered participants on Sunday 11 March to run or walk up 77 gruelling flights of stairs in the name of charity.
QANTAS GOLF CLUB CHALLENGE
This is a rare opportunity to participate in a dual event organised by the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) and Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA) – proudly brought to you by Qantas Golf Club, Links Hope Island and Gold Coast City Council.
Come and experience 36 holes of the famous Links Hope Island layout and see up close how Professional Golfers play this outstanding course. Each amateur will play in a group accompanied by an ALPG and a PGA professional.

GOLD COAST 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES
4 APRIL - 15 APRIL
The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™ (GC2018) will be staged from 4 to 15 April 2018. It will be the first time the Games have been held in an Australian regional city and the fifth time Australia has staged the Commonwealth Games. GC2018 will be the largest sporting event held in Australia this decade, and the largest the Gold Coast has ever hosted. More than 6500 athletes and team officials will take part over the 11 days of competition, with 71 nations and territories represented across 17 different sports and para-sports. Events will be hosted across 18 competition venues located on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane with preliminary Basketball matches contested in Townsville and Cairns. The teams, friends and families will be made to feel right at home by 15,000 of the finest and most dedicated volunteers and a community intent on delivering a great Commonwealth Games.
A selection of the country's finest new artists will take over the stage with an explosion of colour, light and truly innovative pop music. Here, a selection of the country’s finest new acts will take over bringing visual art and music performances together. Headlined by Brisbane’s own festival favourites, Confidence Man, with culture, language and genre bridging Electric Fields and Gold Coast electronic music producer, vocalist and visual artist, Michelle Xen; this is art pop in its truest form.
